** MADRID DA EL PISTOLETAZO DE SALIDA A LA TEMPORADA DE PASARELAS **

** MADRID INAGURATES THE FASHION SHOWS WORLDWIDE **

En menos de una semana comenzará la vuelta al mundo de las mejores pasarelas de alta costura. La encargada de inaugurar el calendario es, POR PRIMERA VEZ, la pasarela MADRILEÑA. Ésta ha sido siempre conocida como Cibeles pero recientemente bautizada como MERCEDES BENZ FASHION WEEK MADRID, que se celebra entre el 1 y el 5 de febrero.

In less than a week it will start the best fashion shows in haute couture around the world. For the FIRST TIME, MADRID FASHION WEEK is the one that inaugurates the schedule .  This event has always been aknown as CIBELES but from now on it would be called MERCEDES BENZ FASHION WEEK MADRID, which takes place from the 1^st to the 5^TH of Februray.

Aquellos que piensen que el nombre de MERCEDES BENZ perjudica a MADRID FASHION WEEK, se equivocan, puesto que provoca justo lo contrario. El cambio de nombre convierte a CIBELES una pasarela más conocida internacionalmente. MERCEDES BENZ también ha cambiado el nombre a algunas de las pasarelas más reconocidas en el mundo como “Mercedes Benz Fashion Week New York, Berlín y Miami”. Así, a partir de ahora Madrid se sitúa entre los eventos de moda más relevantes de la esfera mundial.

Some people think that this new name damages MADRID FASHION WEEK image, but they are wrong since it sparks off the opposite. The new name turns MADRID fashion show into a more international fashion event. MERCEDES BENZ has also changed some of the more outstanding fashion shows in the world such as “Mercedes Benz Fashion Week New York, Berlín and Miami”. From now on, MADRID will be set between the most important worldwide fashion events.

Del 9 al 16 de febrero tiene lugar NEW YORK Fashion Week. De ahí, el salto es a LONDRES entre el 17 y el 22 del mismo mes. Del 22 al 28 se celebra MILANO Moda Donna y, para terminar, llega el prêt-à-porter de PARÍS, entre el 28 y el 7 de marzo.

From the 9th to the 16th of February will be hold NEW YORK FASHION WEEK. After that it comes LONDON FASHION WEEK, from the 17^th to the 22th (same month). Next one is MILANO MODA DONNA from the 22^nd to the 28^th. At the end comes the prêt-à-porter of París between the 28^th of February and the 7^th of March.

MÁS DE UN MES de desfiles en los que se presentan las tendencias para el próximo Otoño-Invierno 2012/2013. Tras saltar la polémica entre las cuatro grandes capitales de la moda (París, Londres, Nueva York y Milán), que suelen coincidir en fechas, robándose protagonismo unas a otras (además de modelos y periodistas, entre otros, que tienen que cruzar el mundo de una a otra), Nueva York y Londres han decidido hacer un cambio en sus fechas para que este año por PRIMERA VEZ no coincidan.

More than one month of fashion shows which will launch the last trends for the Autumn-Winter 2012/2013. After the controversial argument between the main fashion cities (París, London, New York and Milan) about their schedule’s shows, New York and London have decided to change their dates in order to make possible that any fashion week is held in different week for the VERY FIRST TIME.

En la SEGUNDA RONDA que se celebra en SEPTIEMBRE para no solaparse con Milán (que comenzará el próximo 19 de septiembre), New York Fashion Week tendrá lugar del 6 al 13 del mismo mes y London Fashion Week entre el 14 y el 18. París, por su parte, se celebrará entre el 25 de septiembre y el 3 de octubre. Madrid todavía está por confirmar. ¿Que pensará Anna Wintour?

In the second round that it takes place every SEPTEMBER this would be the different dates : Milán will start on the 19^th of September, then New York Fashion Week will be held from the 6^th to the 13^th and London Fashion Week from the 14^th to the 18^th. Paris will take place from 25^th to the 3^rd of October. Madrid hasn’t determinate a date yet. ¿What Anna Wintour will think about it?

Este año, los amantes de la moda podremos disfrutar de las FASHION WEEKS INTERNACIONALES una tras una. Al fin y al cabo no tiene sentido que las ciudades compitan. Bajo mi punto de vista no son semanas de la moda independientes ya que todas se centran en lo mismo. Y cómo dice ese refrán, LA UNIÓN…HACE LA FUERZA ¿No crees?

This year, lovers of fashion could enjoy every FASHION INTERNATIONAL WEEK once at a time. After all it doesn’t make sense if they compete with each other. In my point of view, they are not individual fashion events since all of them have got the same goal and purpouse. And as they say, THE MORE…THE MERRIER ¿Don’t you think?

Con todo ya en orden ahora tan sólo quedaría por encontrar sustituto a John Galliano en Dior (como os adelanté en otra entrada ) para que el mundo de la moda vuelva a respirar tranquilo.

Now that everything is settle in the fashion industry, there is just one thing left: to find the designer who is going to replace John Galliano in Dior. After that, the fashion industry would be much more relieve.
