Si hasta ahora no lo había mencionado, creo que he tardado demasiado, soy una FANÁTICA de los MERCADOS Y MERCADILLOS. Sí, pero hablo de TODOS-TODOS. De muebles, flores, antiguedades, comida, bebida, ropa e incluso navideños. Me encanta pasear alrededor de los heterogénos puestos. Observar el movimiento continuo. Oler el contraste de sus ambientes. Y encontrar adquisiciones únicas que me hacen sentir como si me hubiera tocado un buen pellizco en la lotería. En esta sección hablaremos de los MERCADILLOS alrededor del mundo. Desde Oslo a Pekín pasando por Mozambique o Moscú.

If I havent mentioned before, Im wondering what took me so long, but Im a Market Lover. Yes I do, but any market and fleamarket. And I mean ANY. About furnitures, flowers, antiques, food, drinks, clothes or even christmas markets. I love just strolling around the different stalls, watching the activity, smelling the contrast of the environment, and finding unique and exclusive items that make me feel has If I had won the lottery. In this section we will review the markets all around the world. From Olso to Pekin stoping by Mozambique or Moscu.

Acabo de llegar de LONDRES, ciudad que me fascina y en la que viví durante un año en 2007. Por lo que comenzaré hablando de sus mercadillos. En esta ciudad tan UNDERGROUND puedes encontrar una media de 5 mercadillos en cada barrio, eso sí todos muy diferentes. ¿Te apetece dar una vuelta por los más  populares? :  Portobello Market, Camden Market, Spitafields Market, Bricklane Market para encontrar las prendas más exclusivas de ropa. Los que tienen buen apetito la mejor elección es Borough Market o Broadway Market donde puedes degustar los mejores platos internacionales. Para los detallistas y amantes de el buen olor Columbian Road Flower Market es la elección, lleno de coloridas flores y olores inolvidables. Y para los meláncolicos, Jubilee Market es una visita obligada para encontrar antiguedades.

I just got from London. This city drives me crazy and I have always been so attracted to London that in 2007 I decided to lived there for a year. Im gonna start talking about London Markets. In this city you might find 5 markets every single neighbourhod, each of them quite different. ¿Would you like to have a walk around the most popular ones? : Portobello Market, Camden Market, Spitafields Market, Bricklane Market where you can find the most exclusive vintage clothes. But If you feel like craving for anything, you need to head off to Boroguh Market or Broadway Market, best food ever. For bigs fans of flowers you cant miss Columbian Road Flower Market. And for that ones that feel kind of melancholic Jubilee Market is a must-visit where you can find unique antiques.

Mucho que decir. Poco tiempo para explicar. Hoy comienzo hablando de uno de mis mercadillos favoritos:  VINTAGE MARKET, en el famoso barrio de Bricklane. En los últimos dos meses no he faltado ningún Domingo. Se ha converitdo en una cita ineludible en mi agenda. Paseo alrededor de sus puestos. Observo. Miro fijamente. No siempre con la intención de comprar algo. Pero si con el próposito de disfrutar de sus notables contrastes. Sonrío. Continúo. Tarareo la música. Y vuelvo a sonreír.

Lots of things to tell. Not much time I have got left. Today Im gonna start talking about one of my favourite fleamarkets, VINTAGE MARKET, in the popular area of Bricklane. In the las 2 months I havent missed any Sunday. It has become like a must to do in my agenda every week. I just stroll around the stalls. Watch. Stare. Im not always in a mood for shooping. But I do always have the intention to enjoy the contrasts of the market. Smile. Keep going. I sing to myself the music I heard. And Smile once again.

Siempre encuentro un popurrí de emociones en este lugar. Esto lo convierte en uno mis rincones favoritos de la ciudad. Mi amiga Lucía y blogger, a la que conozco desde que tengo 3 añitos, vino a visitarme a Londres hace unas semanas. Sabía que le encantaría. No le defraudé. Ella también se sintió atrapada por la magia y encanto de este mercadillo. Aunque claro, su cartera no estaba tan encantada después de las muchas compras que hizo.

I always finde a huge diversity of emotions in this place. That's why it turns into one of my favourite spots in town. My friend Lucía and blogger, who I know since I was 3 years old, came to visit me in London just a copule of weeks ago. I knew she would love it. I dindnt let her down. She also was drawn for the magic and charm of this market. Altought I have to say that her pocket wasn’t that pleased after all her shooping.

Un día en este mercadillo me encontré una funda para el coche hecha de lana con el diseño de la bandera inglesa. No muy útil…pero una monada!

One day in this fleamarket I found a cover for a car made of wool with the british flag printed. Not really useful…but pretty cute !

Recorrer sus escondites me fascina. Es como si la máquina del tiempo nos trasladara a lugares inpensables. Hombres jugando al ajedrez en medio de la calle y fumando de su pipa. Niños que intentan imitarlos. Sin pipa, claro.

Go all over its hiding places fascinates me. It´s like the time machine take you to unthoughtful places. Men playing chess in the middle of the street and smoking their pipes. Children trying to imitate them. Withouh a pipe, of course!

Moda vintage de los años 50 y 60. Reliquias de antepasados. Objetos únicos. Collares. Gafas. Abrigos de zorro. Zapatos. Relojes exclusivos. Trajes antiguos. Corbatas. Todo lo inpensable y vintage lo puedes encontrar en este rinconcito situado al noreste de la ciudad.

Mi amiga y yo nos probamos un abrigo de zorro. Por supuesto que la mayoría de ellos son sintéticos. Que Alivio!

My friend and I tryed on a fur coat. I have no doubt that most of the are syntetic. Thanks God !

 

Me encantan los sombreros. Siento como si me protegieran del exterior. En el VINTAGE MARKET he comprado un par de ellos para contiunar con mi adorada colección.

I love hats. I feel like if they protect me from something above. I’ve bought a couple of them in the Vintage Market to keep bulding up my collection.

¿Cansad@ de tantas compras? A tan sólo 1 minuto puedes encontrar dos incréibles locales para saborear un buen vino o degustar una típica pinta inglesa. The Big Chill Bar para los más tranquilos y Café 1001 para los que todavía tengan energía de moverse al ritmo underground de BrickLane. ¿Vamos? ¿Con cuál te quedas?

¿Tired of shopping? Just one minute walk you can find two amazing clubs to savour a good wine or to taste a typical english pint. Chill out café for the quiets and Café 1001 for that ones that still one keep going and moving to the underground rhtym of Bricklane. ¿ Shall we? ¿Which one you prefer?
