** VINTAGE FLEAMARKET IN BIERZO’S PARADISE **

Trueques. Artesanía. Mercadillo. Música. Y no, no hablo de la edad media. Este sábado se inauguraba el primer MERCADILLO VINTAGE en la provincia de León. Hablo de la HACIENDA DEL VAL, en Salas de los Barrios, este lugar nos abrió sus puertas para perdernos en un MERCADILLO MÁGICO. Patrimonio del S.XVI, esta casa se construyó en 1557, situada a 5km de Ponferrada. Paraje inigualable. Vistas pintorescas. Moda y Campo, unidos. Comienzo la mañana saboreando un exquisito café caliente a pie de montaña. Naturaleza. Horizonte. Amigos. Respiro hondo y pienso: “Como me gusta estar en casa”

Barter. Craftwork. Fleamarket. Music. I’m not talking about the Middle Ages. Last Saturday the first VINTAGE MARKET in Leon’s province, in the north of Spain, was opened. I’m referring to the HACIENDA DEL VAL a place which gives everyone the chance to enjoy and get lost in a MAGIC FLEAMARKET. Heritage from the XVI century, this house was built up in 1557, located 10 minutes-drive from Ponferrada. Matchless Spot. Breathtaking views. Fashion and Nature, all together. I start my morning savoring an exquisite hot coffee next to the hills walk. Nature. Horizon. Friends. I take a deep breath and I can’t help but think: “I love being back home”

El mercadillo está abierto a todos aquellos que quieran pasar un buen rato en la montaña. No sólo para echar un vistazo, también puedes traer tus propios artículos para vender. Cosas Nuevas. Cosas Viejas. Eso es lo de menos. Ropa. Muebles. Calzado. Cuadros. Instrumentos.  “Y hasta puedes traer tu propio AVIÓN”, como bromea el dueño, Jorge.  .

Anyone is more than welcome to come over. Not just for taking a look around but you might want to get rid of many items that you don’t use anymore, you can sell them in this market. New things. Old things. It doesnt matter.Clothes. Furnitures. Footwear. Paintings. Instruments. “ Even you can bring your own airplane to sell” as the owner, Jorge, jokes around.

Y por si esta combinación no fuera ya lo suficientemente MÁGICA, Alba y Emma, que tienen un original puesto de artesanía, crean ENORMES pompas de colores que se pierden en el horizonte. Les he prometido que la próxima vez me animaré a hacer pompas.No parece fácil.

But this gets even much better when you see Alba and Emma, who have got an artcraft stall, making the huge and colorful bubbles which get lost in the horizon. I have promised them that next time I will give it a try making bubbles. It doesn’t look like it’s easy, though.

Yo sólo iba con la intención de echar un vistazo…pero encontrando gangas increíbles una no se puede resistir. Divisé este vestido que poco después pasó a formar parte de mi colección de ropa VINTAGE.

I just had the purpose of taking a look around…but finding amazing bargains I couldn't  resist. I found this dress that later on it came part of my VINTAGE clothing collection.

Mi amiga Patri, siempre activa y que no duda en apuntarse a un bombardeo,  puso su propio puesto. Además, hizo la mayoría de fotos que podéis ver. Y a su vez compró también algún artilugio. Vamos, que polivalente donde las haya. Ella lo vale.

My friend Patry, who is always in a good mood to make plans, had her own stall. Furthermore, she took most of the pictures you see in this post. And at the same time she bought some items. She is definitely a versatile person. She is unique.

Mis amigos Chuso y Mous  también disfrutaron de este emblemático rincón de nuestra comarca. Lo que no sabíamos es que ese día haríamos un nuevo amigo. ¿Su nombre? Se llama CREMA. Yegua, color café contrastado con ráfagas en tonos miel y una luz que emerge desde su hocico iluminando su rostro.  Sí, como si ella fuera la elegida. Un placer CREMA.

 

My friends Chuso and Mous also enjoyed in this emblematic spot. Suddenly, we made a new friend, it came out of the blue. ¿Her name? She is called “CREAM”  A mare, of coffee colour that make such and amazing contrast with the honey tones. And a light that comes from her snout lighting up her face. As if she was the one. Nice too meet you CREAM.

No tengo duda, desde hoy, este se ha convertido en mi rincón favorito. Paraíso Berciano.

From now on, I have no doubt, this is my favorite spot. Bierzo’s Paradise.
